Charlotte Blacklock

Charlotte Blacklock, Anne Page, Rugby, and Robin in Merry Wives of Windsor, is well on her way pursuing a career in the performing arts. She has played a wide range of roles in both classic and contemporary theater, her favorite being the role of Suzy Hendricks in Wait Until Dark. She is thoroughly enjoying the hodge podge of characters she has taken on in this production.

Lisa Bloy

Dr. Lisa Bloy, Assistant Conductor/Concert Master Falstaff, is a vocal coach at George Mason University and serves as organist at Falls Church Presbyterian Church. She holds degrees from Oberlin Conservatory, Pennsylvania State University, and Michigan State University and is an active recitalist in the area. Recently she appeared on the Temple Square Concert Series in Salt Lake City, Utah and a featured soloist in a performance of Liszt's Totentanz on the Messiah Festival Concert Series.

Phillip K. Bullock

Phillip K. Bullock, Pistol in Falstaff, is a native of Washington D.C. Most recently, Mr. Bullock performed the roles of Jake in Porgy and Bess at the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City, Mexico, Figaro in Le nozze di Figaro, Papageno in the Magic Flute, John Brook in Little Women, and Jake Wallace in La Fanciulla del West in opera companies around the country. Jaely Chamberlain

Jaely Chamberlain

Jaely Chamberlain, Nannetta in Falstaff, is quickly establishing herself as a soprano with "emotion that doesn’t quit and a talented voice to match" (The Writers Bloc). Recently, she has sung as a soloist with the Washington Concert Opera, Washington National Cathedral, Maryland Opera Studio, and in the ensemble of the Washington National Opera. Katie Chambers

Katie Chambers

Katie Chambers is an accomplished and passionate cellist and teacher. Her playing, called "heavenly" by Joel Markowitz. Katie Chambers has played on various television shows and at many prestigious venues such as Lincoln Center, The Kimmel Center, The Strathmore and The Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. Ms. Chambers graduated with her undergraduate degree in cello performance from University of Maryland, College Park and a master's in cello performance from San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

James Collinson

James Collinson

James Collinson, hails from the Cape May area and is ecstatic to be performing the role of Dr. Caius. He received his Masters in Music at Shenandoah Conservatory, and has performed in Kurt Weill's The Protagonist as the titular character, Mozart's Don Giovanni as Don Ottavio, Puccini's Gianni Schicchi as Gherardo, Lee Hoiby's This is the rill speaking as Tommy/Manny, and David Little's Vinkensport as Han Sach's Trainer. CJ David

CJ David

C.J. David, a tenor originally from Northern Virginia, is one of the Fentons in Falstaff, and in Merry Wives, Pistol and John. CJ recently was the title role in Robin Hood with the Victorian Lyric Opera Company, as Count Almaviva in Il barbiere di Siviglia with Loudoun Lyric Opera, and as a soloist with both the Reston Chorale and Washington Master Chorale. He holds a Master of Music in Opera from the Longy School of Music in Cambridge, MA, and a Bachelor of Music from UNC Chapel Hill.

Mark is delighted to be part of The Shakespeare Opera Company and their production of “Falstaff.” Mark comes from a varied background of playing horn with orchestras, operas, musicals and working with groups from students to professionals. He has had the privilege of working with such groups as The Arlington Players (VA), The McLean Orchestra (VA), Charleston Symphony (SC), Reston Community Players (VA), Fairfax Wind Symphony, and the Brevard Symphony Orchestra (NC) to name a few.

Regional credits in Dallas include Quincy in the regional premiere of Mr. Burns: a post-electric play at Stage West Theater, Leonardo's Wife in Blood Wedding at Cara Mía, and Mrs. Lambchop in the Dallas Children's Theater 2014-2015 International Touring Production of The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. G. Michael Harris

Michael is very excited to be part of Merry Wives, and has been physically preparing for Falstaff for most of the past decade. He most recently performed as Vladimir in Spooky Action Theater's regional premiere of Collaborators. He has also performed locally with Studio Theater, Signature Theater, Lean & Hungry Theater and Compass Rose Theater. Nerissa Hart

Nerissa Hart is an actor, director, and writer based in the DC/Metro region. Since earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts from George Mason University in Theatre Performance, she has appeared on the television show House of Cards, as well as taking on Pocket Change Theatre Company's Midsummer on a Playground as The Magician's Assistant, Hermia, Snug, and the Fairy and performing in The Highwood Theatre's devised piece, Riot, as Nicole Frederick: The Protestor.

Bradyn Heck will be playing the roles of Master Slender and Mistress Quickly. He graduated from George Mason University in 2015 with a B.F.A in Theatre. He previously graced the stage in Mason productions such as, Where Has Tommy Flowers Gone, See How They Run, and The Rover. Daniel Rivas

Daniel Rivas

Daniel Rivas studied violin performance in the National Music Conservatory in his home country Lima - Peru. Has been an active participant in symphony orchestras for 15 years. Beginning with the National Children and Youth Symphony Orchestras of Peru and more recently Mr. Rivas has been a member of the Washington Metropolitan Phylarmonic, Symphony of the Potomac and American University Symphony Orchestra. In 2016 in addition to violin, Mr. Rivas has started viola studies.

Jeff Kahan

Jeff Kahan

Jeff Kahan, oboe/english horn, is a native of the DC Metro area and received his music performance degrees from Rice University and University of Texas before returning home in 2000. He has performed with Avanti, the Metropolitan Orchestra at Montgomery College, the Pan American Symphony Orchestra, the JCC Orchestra of Greater Washington, and the McLean Symphony Orchestra. Mr. Kahan currently performs with Washington Balalaika Society, the Go-Go Symphony, and the Morpheus Chamber Players.

Kathryn Katsikis (soprano), Host of the Garter Inn and Meg Page in Merry Wives and Meg Page in Falstaff, is incredibly excited to return to the stage and work with such a wonderful company. She has a bachelors of music in vocal performance from George Mason University and currently studies with Debby Wenner. Kathryn would like to thank her supportive husband, family, friends and fellow cast members for this amazing opportunity.

Joseph Kaz (Fenton) is a composer and tenor based in the DC Metro Area. Joseph has sung with many local opera companies including Maryland Lyric Opera, Bel Cantanti Opera, and Annapolis Opera. A graduate of the Ithaca College School of Music, Joseph has studied with distinguished teachers such as Patrice Pastore, Marc Webster, Rick Christman, and currently Jeffery Springer.

Gabby, the stage manager for Merry Wives of Windsor and Falstaff, is a recent Technical Theater B.A. graduate from GMU, Magna Cum Laude. She currently enjoys working as a free lance stage manager in the DC Metro area and is stepping into leadership in her Mary Kay business. She works as a Teaching Artist with Acting For Young People, which sparked her love for theater growing up. She sends gratitude to her friends, her family. and her God for all of their love and support.

Dr. Lori Lind - Director/Founder

"Radiant in voice and striking in stage presence" (The Washington Post), Dr. Lori Lind is acclaimed for her performances throughout the world. Also an accomplished technician and coach, she discovered a love for administration, stage directing and conducting during her tenure as Executive Director of Maryland Opera Society. After settling in Northern Virginia, she felt a strong pull to share her love of classical theatre and opera in a unique way, and Shakespeare Opera Theatre was born.

Elena Dolores

Elena Dolores, Meg Page in Falstaff, Make-up Artist and Hair Supervisor, is a Dramatic Mezzo who last performed as Ursule in Beatrice & Benedict, Shakespeare Opera Theatre’s first production. A review of the opera in the Washington Post stated, “[Elena Dolores] held her own and anchored two good ensemble numbers.” She is very excited to be performing once again with the company in the role of Meg Page.

This Brittany Martz's 2nd show with Shakespeare Opera Theatre. Last year she had the opportunity to play Beatrice in Much Ado and this year she is excited to be directing! She is a resident director with Pocket Change Theatre Company and is always looking for new opportunities to tell quirky stories. Look for her next at The Capital Fringe Festival, where she will be playing Peyton in the new musical "Dark Times at Grimesville High."

Elliot Matheny

Elliot Matheny, Ford in Falstaff, is a DC based Baritone who has sung with The Washington Ballet, The Castleton Festival, The In Series, Opera Belcantanti, Riverbend Opera, and Loudoun Lyric Opera. Originally from Las Vegas, Elliot was a young artist of Opera Las Vegas, Spokane Opera, and The Castleton festival - where he sang in several operas under the baton of Mo. Lorin Maazel. Elliot has studied with prestigious teachers and coaches such as Denyce Graves, James Morris and Neil Shicoff.

A soprano from Washington D.C., Stephanie Lynn Miller graduated from The Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University, obtaining a Masters as well as a Graduate Diploma in Vocal Performance. Recent performances include: Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro with American University Opera Workshop, Nannetta in Falstaff with Peabody Conductor’s Orchestra, Trio in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti, Princess/No.1 in Transformations, Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, and Flora in Le mariage aux lanternes.

Rosalie Morrow, flute, a native of NYC, holds a BA from The City University of NY. She is former principal flute of the Regina Opera. She has been teaching in N. Va for 19 years, including playing with The Manassas Ballet Theatre. She is also a piano accompanist for the Fairfax County solo/ensemble festival.

Natalie Naudus - Dame Quickly in Falstaff Natalie Naudus appears this season as Mistress Quickly (Falstaff). She is proud to have premiered the role of Rudy in the acclaimed comic opera series Night Caps, while a Young Artist with Opera Theater Pittsburgh. Other roles include the Beggar Woman (Sweeney Todd), Mercédès (Carmen), La Badessa (Suor Angelica), Alisa (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Mother Marie (Dialogues des carmélites).

Kelsey Painter (Fenton, Nym, Robert) performs, teaches, and choreographs throughout the VA/DC/Baltimore area. A company member with Chesapeake Shakespeare, favorite roles include Dromio of Syracuse in Comedy of Errors and Launcelot Gobbo in The Merchant of Venice. She has worked locally with Pumpkin Theatre, Cohesion Theatre Co, Live Action Theatre, Stillpointe Theatre Initiative, Venus Theatre Playshack, and Pallas Theatre. Upcoming roles include Ginger in Zombie Prom with Unexpected Stages.

Thomas Richman, Robin in Falstaff, has performed with Lorin Maazel in La Boheme (ragazzo solo), L'enfant et les sortilèges (homework), and Carmen. Thomas also was the Treble in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Requiem, with Lorin Maazel, Joyce El-Khoury and Tyler Nelson.

Kevin Rockower - Falstaff

Kevin Rockower - Falstaff

Kevin Rockower recently covered the role of Germont for the Martina Arroyo program and performed the role of Robert in Iolanta with Opera Slavica. Other roles include Marcello (Regina Opera Company), and Gianni Schicchi (Penn State Opera Theater). Kevin has performed in the 32nd Bloomsday on Broadway, with the Gateway Classical Music Society, and has appeared as Walter in the National Tour of Elf. As a songwriter, Kevin has been interviewed by the Wall Street Journal and BBC World News Report.

Kelsey Sasportas is the costumer for The Merry Wives Of Windsor and Falstaff. After working as a performer at King's Dominion in Richmond, VA, she found her way into their costume shop and never left. Her transition into theater includes shows such as Sister Act and Mame with Riverside Dinner Theatre in Fredericksburg, VA and most recently Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella with the Wagon Wheel Theater in Warsaw, IN. Evan Schefstad – studied violin at George Mason University under Ed Johonnott and Dr. Laura Kobayashi. He currently works as an orchestral strings specialist at Foxes Music Company where he is able to introduce and guide aspiring string players into the world of music.

Molly Pinson Simoneau

Molly Pinson Simoneau, Alice Ford in Falstaff, Shallow in Merry Wives of Windsor, was most recently seen on stage in Reston Community Theater's 2016 production of Terrence McNally's Master Class, her performance in which garnered praise from DC Metro Theater Arts for her "gorgeous tone." Her operatic roles include Giorgetta in Puccini's Il Tabarro, the Plaintiff in Trial by Jury, and Marianne in Der Rosenkavalier. Molly also performs with the DC Metro Area chapter of Opera on Tap.

Soprano Jennifer Sin is originally from Fairfax, Virginia and currently lives in Astoria, NY. She has sung Norina (Martina Arroyo Foundation), Zerlina (Martha Cardona Theatre), Susanna, La fee (New York Opera Theatre), Queen of the Night (New York Opera Studio, BASOTI), and various other roles. Jennifer will be singing Nanetta and is excited to be performing in her hometown!

Ford in Merry Wives of Windsor, Bardolfo in Falstaff, and Marketing Director, Gregory Stuart, baritone, has sung leading roles in Don Giovanni, Die Zauberflöte, Beatrice & Benedict, Die Csárdásfürstin, The Impresario, Così fan tutte, The Tender Land, Le Villi, The Merry Widow, La Bohème and Haddon Hall locally and roles with several regional companies. A soloist in world premieres of Paul Leavitt's Cantata Emmanuel, his Magnificat, and Requiem in Washington, Paris and at Lincoln Center NYC.

Playing Master Page/Simple in The Merry Wives of Windsor, Fight Captain for Merry Wives and Falstaff, Aaron Sulkin is considered to be one of the greatest eaters of salad on the east coast. He is honored to have the privilege of working with such talented artists and truly wonderful and strange people.

Patrick Weiher (9), children's chorus, lives in Warrenton with his family. Special interests include raising chickens, playing piano, ballet, tending orchids and studying nature. Patrick loves various types of music from Bach to Pete Seeger and he hopes to take up the cello and banjo.

Lindsay Williams

Lindsay Williams

Lindsay Williams, clarinet, is active as a woodwind doubler in theatre pit orchestras in the DC Metro area. She taught clarinet, saxophone, flute, and piano privately for 9 years, and at the Montessori School of Northern Va for one year. Also an actress, Lindsay has appeared in productions with Theater J and the Rainbow Theatre Project. She holds a Bachelor of Music in clarinet performance from the Eastman School of Music and a Masters in Performing Arts Administration from New York University.

Briggs, children's chorus, was recently given an acceptance to the American Boychoir School. He currently is a 4th grade student at the Hill School in Middleburg, VA. He is also a member of the youth choir, directed by Christian Myers, at Trinity Episcopal Church, in Upperville, VA.
